I have been teaching for 32 years in both Primary and Secondary school, teaching all Key Stages including sixth formers. I have also held various managerial roles in schools. I have worked for Apricot since 2012.
I enjoy teaching for Apricot because of the variety of students that I teach in a day. It is satisfying knowing that you have played a small part in integrating students back into mainstream education. It is equally satisfying helping students with a range of health issues achieve their ambitions, whether this is passing a GCSE or attending university. It is also enjoyable when teaching 1:1 and I really get to know the student as an individual.
Outside of teaching I enjoy watching sport,walking my Deerhound, and spending time with my grandchildren.
